Today my mom told me that she and my aunt were planning on having a joint party for me (turning 50) and my uncle (turning 75) since our birthdays are close together. I do not care if others like celebrating their birthday, I even go to other peoples birthday dinners, but I just don't see the need to celebrate mine, nor do I have the desire.

I hate birthdays, and I think that birthday parties are for children or for adults celebrating major milestones like turning 75, 90, or 100. I'm a private person and I do not like attention. It bummed me out to see she’s been relegated to playing someone’s mom on CW trash like “Riverdale.” by Anonymous I Googled her and she still looks fantastic and youthful at 51.

So, why wasn’t she? I don’t recall seeing Mädchen in anything else was she pushed as a movie star in the 90s, or…? Did she just have bad representation? It’s rare for someone virtually unknown to me to make such an impression. She could have been Hollywood’s brunette answer to, say, Sharon Stone. Plus, she was superlative in the part and was very convincing as this calculating, cold Hitchcockian femme fatale. In one courtroom scene, she has her hair slicked back into a low bun and could almost pass for Linda Evangelista. I vaguely recalled her from “Twin Peaks,” but she looked absolutely ravishing in this film, to the point where I couldn’t even focus on the also very fetching Spader.

Why wasn’t she more successful? I just watched her in “Dream Lover,” costarring James Spader, and was awestruck by her beauty.
